Four Legs and Fur Animal Society

Programs You and Your Pet Will Surely Love

Our Services

We at Four Legs and Fur Animal Society in Hermitage, Missouri believe that pet owners should be responsible for every creature under their care. To help them achieve this, our nonprofit organization offers various programs that are either free of charge or available at a minimal cost. Browse the rest of this page to learn more about our pet services.

Trap Neuter Return (TNR)

TNR is a humane and effective way to address community cat populations. It improves the lives of cats, addresses community concerns, reduces complaints about cats, and stops the breeding cycle.

Feral and semi-feral cats in the community are trapped, spayed or neutered, ear-tipped for identification and returned to the community to live out their lives. We provide traps and set up vet services but ask that caregivers in the community assist us with trapping and transporting.

One pair of breeding cats can exponentially potentially produce 420,000 cats over a 7-year period. Help us break the cycle!

Call us for more info about our TNR program.

Pet Food Pantry

This is an emergency program open to low-income families and families experiencing severe financial hardships. Applicants must complete and submit a pet food pantry application each year.

Donations of both dry and canned food for dogs and cats are always welcome and can be dropped off at our office..

To be eligible to participate in this supplemental feeding program, your pets need to be spayed and neutered. If they aren’t, we can work with you to make it happen. Good faith, effort, and reasonable progress are sufficient to keep you in this program.

Emergency Medical Assistance

There are times when an emergency strikes out of nowhere. As funding allows, we assist owners offset the cost of medical care for their pets. We will ask you to pay what you can and work with the vet on possible options for care. Although you can expect us to strive for the best outcome for your pet, please keep in mind that our budget is limited.

This program is supplemented through our Angel Fund.
